The Chinese company, “Huawei”, the manufacturer of smart phones and networks, officially unveiled its new phone, “Nova Y90”, in the budget-friendly economy category, which comes with a large screen with simple edges, and a triple rear camera setup.
The phone features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD+ quality (1080 x 2388 pixels) with a 90Hz refresh rate. Huawei claims that the phone screen comes with thin edges that may be almost invisible, as it calls it “Edgeless FullView Display”, and the screen occupies 88.85% of the phone’s body.
The smartphone – which works with two (nano) SIMs – is powered by an octa-core processor acceptable to the category, as it comes from the type “Snapdragon 680” from the American company “Qualcomm”, along with an “Adreno 610” graphic processor, paired with With 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
Phone connectivity options include GPS / AGPS, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also includes ambient light sensors, a compass, a gravity sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Nova Y90 has a 5000 mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge 40W fast wired charging support. According to the company, the smartphone can be charged to 50% in 30 minutes. The phone weighs about 195 grams.
For photography, the Nova Y90 features a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 lens slot, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 lens slot .
The camera setup supports “auto flash”, “autofocus”, “face detection”, and “continuous shooting”. As for the front camera, which comes in the form of a hole in the top center of the screen, the phone includes an 8-megapixel sensor with an f / 2.0 lens slot for selfies and video calls.
Huawei launched its new smartphone, Nova Y90, with four color options: “crystal blue”, “emerald green”, “night black” and “pearl white”.
