At the event at Palau Sant Jordi, which PC Guia attended, the brand unveiled the eleven watches that are part of the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series. This range characterized by geometric designs, with defined edges, brings several innovations, among which is Huawei TruSense, a health and wellness monitoring technology that includes updated sensors and algorithms, “for faster, more accurate, and comprehensive results.”
Alex Huang, Director of Marketing at Huawei CBG explains that the “goal is to bring innovative devices that offer consumers a unique combination of fashion and creativity” and in which “technology helps to improve everyday life and brings people closer together.”
The standard model will be available in sizes 46mm and 41mm and with black and light blue fluoroelastomer straps; brown or white and brown composite leather; beige fabric; woven composite blue and golden mesh, options that allow for great versatility. The Pro models have sizes 46mm and 42mm and are produced with aerospace-grade titanium and nanocrystalline ceramic, respectively. These devices have straps made of titanium and black fluoroelastomer or ceramic and white fluoroelastomer, in the case of the smaller screen models.
One of the strong points of the Watch GT 5 Series is health and wellness, and besides the new monitoring system, the biggest focus has been on sports. Thus, the range includes features focused on running, such as ‘Running Type Analysis’, which “provides suggestions to improve posture during exercise and prevent injuries,” and Sunflower GPS technology, which, according to Huawei, enables “a new navigation experience for outdoor adventures, through a more precise GNSS location mechanism.”
Additionally, users of all smartwatches in this range will have access to a free three-month subscription to the Huawei Health+ app, which provides access to a series of exclusive benefits, including training plans, guided meditations, a Stay Fit plan, and breathing exercises.
The Pro models also have a professional trail running feature that supports segment navigation, off-course alerts, elevation curves, expandable maps, and real-time trail information.
And for golf enthusiasts, there are 3D views of course maps, with over 15,000 courses worldwide, and “analytical tools to help improve swings or measure shot distance.” On the other hand, the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro is the ideal partner for water activities as it supports dives up to 40 meters deep, has a depth locator, and reminders for greater safety and guidance.
The prices for the Huawei Watch GT 5 models start at 249 euros, while the Watch GT 5 Pro models start at 379 euros. Compatible with Android and iOS, the new watches feature up to 14 days of battery life on the 46mm models and up to seven days on the 41mm and 42mm models.
Huawei will also have launch offers, and anyone who purchases a Watch GT 5 or Watch GT 5 Pro by October 31 will receive FreeBuds 5i and a fluoroelastomer strap with the coupon AVJ5STRAP.
