The 8th China-Africa Entrepreneurs Conference was held in Beijing on September 6. At the opening ceremony, Chinese Premier Li Qiang proposed that China and Africa should further strengthen market connectivity and promote industrial integration and innovation-driven development. Chinese and African entrepreneurs also engaged in in-depth exchanges, exploring new fields to expand cooperation and achieve greater mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.

China-Africa economic and trade cooperation has a solid foundation. China has maintained its position as Africa’s largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years, and the trade volume between China and Africa has grown by nearly 35 percent in 2023 compared to that in 2013. At the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit this year, China proposed to carry out ten partnership actions with Africa in the next three years to jointly promote modernization. The public generally believes that these actions are the main line and the new starting point for pragmatic China-Africa cooperation in the current and future period, bringing more cooperation opportunities for Chinese and African enterprises.

At the 8th China-Africa Entrepreneurs Conference, participants showed a strong will to strengthen opening up and cooperation. China proposed to take the lead in unilaterally expanding market opening by deciding to grant all least developed countries with diplomatic relations with it, including 33 African countries, zero tariff treatment for 100% of tax items. This will push the Chinese market into a great opportunity for Africa and promote the construction of an open world economy.
