This program is part of the school support project implemented in the province for the 2022-2023 school year, at the initiative of the Provincial Human Development Committee (CPDH) of Sefrou, in partnership with the management of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sport and the Amane Foundation for Sustainable Development.
The governor of the province of Sefrou, Omar Touimi Benjelloun, launched the school support program, as part of the commemoration by the Moroccan people of the 47th anniversary of the glorious Green March.
Nearly 2,000 students benefit from the academic support project for this school year, spread across 32 establishments in all local authorities in the province of Sefrou.
In addition to academic support classes and recreational and educational activities, the project includes medical, educational and psychological support for the beneficiary students.
The school support program is part of the implementation of the 4th program relating to the impetus of human development of the rising generations of the 3rd phase of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), in particular the The axis relating to support for schooling and the fight against school dropout in rural areas.
During the launch of the school support program, a medical caravan was organized in partnership with the delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Sefrou, targeting schoolchildren who benefited from examinations and medical care.
In a statement to MAP and its M24 news channel, the head of the Social Action Division of the province of Sefrou, Adil Zahiri indicated that the academic support program aims to offer targeted students academic support in French and mathematics in order to help them continue their school career normally.
For his part, the provincial director of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Sefrou, Mohamed Kalil, stressed that the program is part of the implementation of the framework agreement between the Ministries of the Interior and National Education, signed in 2018 under the presidency of HM King Mohammed VI.
For the head of the Amane Foundation for Sustainable Development, Fatima Ouazzi, this academic support program is part of the partnership agreement concluded between the National Initiative for Human Development, the delegation of National Education to Sefrou and the Amane Foundation.
Ms. Ouazzi added that it was decided, taking into account the good results obtained during the last school year, to increase the number of beneficiaries of the academic support program who will thus increase from 604 to 2005 students, from all the local authorities of the province of Sefrou.
