Gulagu.net received a message from hackers in which they announced an attack on the FSIN website

The human rights project Gulagu.net received a message on its hotline, presumably from the hacker group Universal, in which its members inform that they are carrying out an attack on the servers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. Gulagu.net announced this in its Telegram channel.

The group calls itself “Universal of the Darknet” and claims to fully support Gulagu.net’s position. “At the moment we are carrying out an attack on all servers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and declaring VENDETTA to them,” human rights activists quote the message of the hackers. Its authors added that the group’s spammers are also launching a mass mailing “About torture” on the Russian-language Internet and the CIS countries.

At the time of this writing, the FSIN website is down.

Gulagu.net explained. that they received a message from hackers at 18:16 and did not know about their intention to implement the threat of an attack. “We considered the information in the letter of the hacker human rights group Universal to be of public interest and published the letter along with our explanations,” the project’s post says.

At the same time, they stressed that they have nothing to do with this hacker attack and urge everyone to act within the legal framework.
