In the case of dismembering the bodies of 2 women and burying them in human sacrifice in the state of Kerala, 3 persons namely fake magician Muhammad Shabi, Bhagawal Singh and his wife Laila from Pathanamthitta district have been arrested. The Ernakulam District Sessions Court ordered to remand these 3 persons till the 26th.
They sacrificed a woman named Roslin who was involved in selling lottery tickets and a woman named Padma from Dharmapuri district. Believing that Mohammad Shabi said that they will get long life and health, the 3 people cut their corpses into more than 60 pieces and cooked them.
The rest of the pieces were buried in a pit behind the house. The Kerala police found out about the incident and arrested the human sacrifice couple and the fake magician. Body parts of 2 female victims were DNA tested. Police have sent for investigation.
Shabi, who is considered to be the main culprit in this incident that rocked the state of Kerala, already has more than 8 cases pending, including smuggling of ganja and engaging women in prostitution. Also, there is a case of rape of a 75-year-old woman.
Kochi City Police Commissioner H. Nagaraju said:-
Shabi has been granted bail following government norms during Corona. In 2020, Shabi brutally assaulted and raped a 75-year-old woman. Similar injuries were found in this case.
Shabi is sexually perverted. A deranged person who takes pleasure in hurting or killing others. We will conduct a proper psychological examination on him. A medical expert from Thrissur Government Hospital will carry out his psychological evaluation.”
