The commission underlined, in a press release, that the report noted, in this regard, the increase in the number of legal proceedings and convictions, the adoption of the 2023-2030 national plan for the fight and prevention of human trafficking human rights, the national referral mechanism for victims of human trafficking and the national strategic action plan for implementation (2023-2026), the publication of the guide to the identification of victims of human trafficking and the establishment of a toll-free number to report possible cases of human trafficking, as well as coordination with non-governmental and international organizations to create temporary and emergency accommodation centers for victims.

According to the same source, the report also looked at the efforts made in terms of awareness and prevention through awareness campaigns launched, notably via television spots, advertising panels, artistic exhibitions, in addition to communication through social networks, in coordination with international organizations.

And added that the Kingdom of Morocco received ten priority recommendations as part of the “2024-2025 Action Plan” aimed at strengthening the protection of victims and consolidating national efforts in the fight against human trafficking. human beings, noting that the CNCLT is working to operationalize the said recommendations in coordination with all stakeholders and institutional partners concerned.

The US report, which represents a comprehensive and objective assessment of the state of play in combating human trafficking in 188 countries, including the United States, discussed in detail this year the role of digital technologies in the proliferation of human trafficking.
