DIG/ The Council of Ministers of May 24, 2023 endorsed the aid allocated to victims of the Human-Wildlife conflict recorded over the period 2016-2022.
These are, for the most part, people who suffered crop destruction during the above-mentioned period.
So, in total 13,247 people will benefit from this aid throughout the national territory, i.e. a total amount of 3.5 billion francs of which a lump sum will be paid to the heirs of the deceased.
This represents approximately 268,000 FCFA for each victim.
“For the realization of this measure of solidarity of the President of the Republic, Head of State, His Excellency Ali BONGO ONDIMBA, measures have been taken by the Public Treasury Services to ensure the payment of this expense to the populations concerned as of this Wednesday, May 24, 2023 »said the government spokesman, the Minister of Communication, Rodrigue Mboumba Bissawou.
