Ten trucks with 200 tons of humanitarian aid, sent to Syria on behalf of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, reached the Turkish-Syrian border.
As Day.Az reports, the convoy, which arrived in Turkey through the Sarp checkpoint in Artvin province, then headed to the southern province of Kilis, bordering Syria. After customs procedures at the Chobanbey checkpoint, he will proceed to Syria.
Humanitarian cargo from Azerbaijan will be unloaded at the warehouses of the Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) under the Turkish government in Syrian territory and distributed among needy families through AFAD. Assistance will primarily be received by residents of Idlib province, as well as the population of Syrian areas cleared of terrorists as part of the Turkish Armed Forces’ operations “Euphrates Shield”, “Spring of Peace” and “Olive Branch”.
Along with food products, children’s clothing and other necessary supplies were sent from Azerbaijan to Syria.
A film crew from the Turkish TV channel HaberGlobal, located on Syrian territory, awaits the arrival of trucks from Azerbaijan to Syria at the AFAD warehouse, located about a kilometer from the border with Turkey.
