“Humans don’t fly anymore”: we saw in action the swarms of intelligent drones, pillars of future wars

by time news

They move away one after the other with a perfect movement, worthy of migratory birds. These lightweight drones line up in hovering flight before setting off to carry out their mission: clear the way for armored vehicles by mapping the front line and detecting potential mines in the road. This is one of the scenarios imagined by the armaments giant Talete to demonstrate its know-how in putting into action a swarm of flying machines suitable for collaborative combat.

Exceptionally open to the media, these demonstrations are aimed primarily at the contingent of senior army officers to gain insight into the conflicts of the future. Essential on the Ukrainian front and, to a lesser extent, in the Middle East, remotely piloted aircraft have already changed the face of positional warfare. The threat from the air has diversified in the last two years with modified civilian drones, FPV machines with immersive piloting and lambent munitions or kamikaze drones.
