jpnn.comJAKARTA – Technology company Google responded to the discovery of falsified Google Business data from hotels throughout Indonesia that has occurred since Sunday (11/8).

Data from hundreds of hotels on Google Business was allegedly hacked so that the listed accounts were replaced by irresponsible people.

Google stated that the findings were true.

He admitted that the team is currently working to handle the problem.

“Our policies clearly state that user-generated changes must be based on factual information, and our teams work around the clock to combat activity that violates our policies,” Google wrote in a statement on its X account on Tuesday (13/8).

Google said that there was indeed a technical problem that occurred, which had an impact on changing information on a number of Google business profiles.

The search engine company is currently committed to restoring accurate information from the affected business profiles.

Previously, on Monday (12/8), the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) revealed that there had been data falsification on Google Business accounts that affected a number of hotels in various regions of Indonesia on Sunday (11/8).
