As a result of an evangelistic crusade held in one of Australia’s main tourist cities, over 250 surrendered to Jesus Christ last weekend.

The Look Up Celebration crusade, led by the evangelist Will Graham (grandson of Billy Graham), was held in the city of Gold Coast, in Queensland, a tourist destination that is often compared to Miami (USA), due to its attractions for the night life.

The free event had a family focus with a message on the Christian faith, bands and the preaching of the message: “Many people believe that there are several ways to God, but that is not what the Bible says. Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ There is only one way to God, and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ, and what He did on the cross. Jesus bled and died to pay the debt so that you and I can have a relationship with God,” preached Will Graham.

The son of the pastor Franklin Graham made an appeal, inviting people to obey Jesus and start a new journey of faith. Hundreds responded to the invitation, going to the stage to pray a public commitment to follow Christ.

More than 380 Australian churches and about 1,000 volunteers helped prepare the “See the Celebration” crusade, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association added. Volunteers were prepared for the event with a course taught by the entity during preparation for the event, according to the The Christian Post.

One interlocutor, identified only as Trinity, said it was a revival: “I’ve never seen anything like this since I came here. It’s life changing. There is no greater miracle than the Salvation of souls. Tonight, I know there is only a celebration here with us, but there is a celebration in heaven.”

Will Graham he expressed gratitude on social media after the event: “God moved mightily. As I shared about God’s love with a crowd of over 4,600 people gathered […] hundreds decided to put their hope and trust in Jesus Christ. Will you join me in praying for these new believers and for God to continue working on the Gold Coast?” wrote the evangelist on Facebook.
