In the framework of an extraordinary meeting of heads of State of the European Union (EU)the prime minister of HungaryViktor Orbán, considered a new commitment to aid towards Ukrainealthough he questioned some of the European leaders, ensuring that they are getting carried away by the “war fever” contra Russiainstead of seeking a ceasefire.
“We are not doing well in this sense, because Brussels is given over to the fever of war,” said Orbán, in a radio interview in which he criticized the shipment of weapons and called for work to achieve a ceasefire “as soon as possible”as a preliminary step to peace talks between Kiev y Moscow.
“Peace will come when there are changes in Brussels”he stated in reference to the EU headquarters and with an eye on the June elections, when the European Parliament and, by extension, the political counterweights in the main institutions will be reconfigured.

Los 27 member countries of the political and economic association unanimously agreed this Thursday to send a aid of 50,000 million euros for Ukraine for the next four years. However, Hungary will continue without sending weapons and explained that the approved aid only aims to prevent the economic collapse of Ukraine, according to statements released by its Government.
Likewise, they reiterated that these 50,000 million euros, which Budapest threatened to block and are part of the common budget, will not imply a potential “diversion” of European funds that correspond to Hungary and that remain blocked.

Zelensky thanked the agreement in Brussels
The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyapplauded the agreement between the members of the association for the granting of aid of 50,000 million euros and considered it a “important decision” which, in his opinion, “demonstrates once again the strong unity of the EU.”
