Hungary ready to hold talks between Russia and Ukraine, Kyiv asks Israel to mediate

Representative of the Hungarian government Zoltan Kovacs said that his country is ready to become a platform for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. He wrote in Twitterthat the parties are considering the offer. Meanwhile, Ukraine has offered Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to become a mediator in the negotiations.

“There are no details yet, except for the fact that Zelensky agreed to negotiate with Russia. According to my information, tomorrow morning, I think it will be clear when and where they will take place. Whether the Israeli Prime Minister will agree to mediate is not yet clear. So far, the status is “applied”,” adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich told Strana.ua.

On February 25, Mr. Zelensky addressed the President of Russia with a proposal to “sit down at the negotiating table in order to stop the death of people.” He stated that he was ready to discuss the issue of a neutral status and security guarantees for Ukraine. Vladimir Putin agreed to organize talks with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
