Over 243,000 personnel with higher education will be needed by business in the next 3 to 5 years. The most sought after will be teachers, doctors, nurses and economists, who will be in demand in every field. This is according to the Employment Agency’s latest survey of business workforce needs. There will be the most vacancies for pedagogy and pedagogy of training in… – 17,434, and these personnel will be needed in all areas. The need will be most felt in Sofia, where 4,974 places have been applied for. Followed by Plovdiv with 1711 and Blagoevgrad with -1613. In Shumen, however, employers have stated that in the next 3 to 5 years they will only need about 89 teachers. In Montana, the demand for this profession will be only 63.

In health, in total, nearly 36,000 trained specialists will be needed in the next 3 to 5 years. This number includes all medical workers, including laboratory technicians and pharmacists.

The most needed will be doctors – a total of 8376 throughout the country. This will be the top profession in Varna, Vidin, Vratsa and Yambol

Not a single position has been claimed in Kardzhali, Montana, Pernik, Pleven, Razgrad and Shumen. There will also be a serious hunger for nurses, as employers have declared a need for 7,425. And they will be needed throughout the country, and in Veliko Tarnovo and Ruse they are in first place in terms of demand. Dentists are also a corner, as there will be 5,531 vacancies for them.

14,507 are the vacancies for economists requested by businesses. The most economists will be sought in Sofia – 5883. Varna occupies the second place, but with 1496 places, and the third is for Burgas – 1333. This will be the most sought-after profession in Lovech, Montana and Pernik.

Employers in Vidin and Pazardzhik have not declared a need for graduates with an “Economics” specialty in the next 3-5 years.

Graduates in the professional field “Informatics and computer sciences” will be the most sought after by employers in Sofia, this will be the most sought after profession in Gabrovo and Razgrad. There will be 3,257 vacancies for law, although this is among the most sought after majors by prospective students. Of these, 2,037 are in Sofia. In 11 regions, business has not declared a need for personnel who have graduated from law – Vratsa, Dobrich, Kardjali, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Sliven, Silistra and Shumen. Horticulture is the most sought-after profession in two districts – Dobrich and Pazardzhik, and in Kyustendil it is forestry. Only in 1 district will be needed graduates in the specialties “Electric equipment of the ship”, “Ship radio electronics”, “Organization and management of the military formations of tactical level”, “Military”.
