This Sunday (March 10) at 21:30, the Israeli song for Eurovision 2024, “Hurricane”, will be revealed. The committee for selecting the Israeli song for Eurovision, which was composed of representatives of the Kaan Broadcasting Corporation and Keshet 12, chose the song “Hurricane” which is based on the melody of the first song submitted to the European Broadcasting Union, “October Rain”. As you remember, the song was disqualified from the competition because the lyrics alluded to the terrible massacre that took place in the Gaza Envelope during the events of October 7, and the European Broadcasting Union disqualified the song due to the political nature of the song.

The selected Eurovision song was written by the next star judge Keren Plestogether with Autumn in Ger (from the writers and producers of “Toy”, Eurovision 2018 winner) fAvi Ohion (“Shards” by Raviv Kaner, “Shark Ta’hain” by Yuval Dayan, “Karn Shemesh” by Banya Barbie). Ofri Gofer, chairman of the professional committee for selecting the song, said: “We are convinced that alongside the strong melody and the powerful performance of Eden, Europe and the world will not be able to remain indifferent to the song”.

Eden Golan said: “This is a different and different year, and we are dealing with things that we have not dealt with in previous years. It is more important to me than ever to represent my country with respect and if that happens I will work as hard as possible to know that from my side I have done everything I can“.
