Hurricane John in Mexico, accompanied by heavy rains, damaged homes, buildings and roads along the country’s Pacific coast.

Western media reported, quoting the Mexican authorities, that 4 days of continuous heavy rain had prevailed in the state of Acapulco in the country, exceeding by approximately 3 times the indicators of heavy rain that fell on the state of Mexico last year, due to the devastating Hurricane Otis.

The head of the Mexican National Meteorological Service, Alejandra Méndez, said that Hurricane “Jon” had flooded the state of Guerrero, as well as the state of Acapulco, with more than 95 centimeters of rain since last Monday, compared to Hurricane “Otis” last year, which brought only 35 centimeters of rain.

This comes as the National Hurricane Center in the United States of America warned that “flash floods and catastrophic mudslides will continue south and southwest of Mexico.”
