Hurricane Roy hits Philippines – death toll rises to 375 |

8 lakh people have been severely affected by Hurricane Roy in the Philippines.

Manila:

Hurricane Roy swept through the central and southeastern provinces of the Philippines, a Southeast Asian country.

Numerous trees and power poles were uprooted by the hurricane, which has been blowing at speeds of 121 kmph to 168 kmph for the past 2 days.

Houses were flooded due to torrential rains with hurricane force winds. All vehicular traffic came to a standstill. Agricultural crops are submerged. More than 3 lakh people are suffering from homelessness.

Meanwhile, the death toll from Hurricane Roy in the Philippines has risen to 372. Rescue operations are ongoing.
