In an exciting finale of America’s Got Talent, Hurricane, the Border Collie, and his human companion Adrian Stoica have been crowned the winners of the show’s 18th season. The dynamic duo captured the hearts of the American public with their incredible dog show act.
The second place in this season’s competition went to magician Anna DeGuzman, while dance troupe Murmuration took the third spot.
Indonesian singer Putri Ariani and acrobat duo the Ramadhani Brothers secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
Putri Ariani, the top-ranked singer this year, impressed the judges, especially Simon Cowell, who gave her the coveted Golden Buzzer. Cowell praised Ariani, saying, “Nobody can take away the fact that you are an amazing, amazing singer. And performer. And person.”
The judges were equally thrilled by Adrian Stoica and Hurricane’s double-act, mirroring the enthusiasm of the armchair voters. “I was on my feet then I sat down, then I was on my feet. It just shows you how tough it is,” exclaimed Howie Mandel earlier in the season. “That’s my favorite dog act ever on AGT.”
Sofia Vergara described their performance as “perfection,” while Heidi Klum marveled at their routine, stating, “it is mind-blowing to me how you do this routine with him.”
Simon Cowell also commended the act, stating, “I think in terms of stepping up from the audition to the Live Show, this is the best act we’ve seen tonight. She was amazing.”
Adrian Stoica and Hurricane will now take home the grand prize of $1 million and earn a coveted Las Vegas residency.
The two-hour finale on NBC also featured special performances from renowned artists, including 30 Seconds to Mars, Jason Derulo, Jon Batiste, Leona Lewis (in a duet with Putri Ariani), and Season 17 winners, The Mayyas.
With their remarkable talent and undeniable chemistry, Hurricane and Adrian Stoica have rightfully earned the title of America’s Got Talent Season 18 champions.
