“Hussein Saeed” is a sports advisor in the Iraqi Olympic Committee

/ The head of the Iraqi Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muftan, announced today, Wednesday, the appointment of former Iraqi football star Hussein Saeed as his sports advisor, indicating that the latter approved the appointment and will soon come to Baghdad to resume his work.

Muftan told Agency, “The selection came based on Saeed’s extensive administrative and technical experience, in addition to his distinguished horizons in Arab and international relations and what he can contribute to serving the Iraqi Olympic and sports movement.”

He added, “The agreement was reached during our presence in Doha to support the Iraqi national team, and I visited Hussein Saeed at his home and talked to him about this and other matters related to the sports community,” noting that “Captain Hussein Saeed expressed his satisfaction with the name and will be present in Baghdad to contribute to serving Iraqi sports.”
