Hwasun-gun extends the 50% discount period for agricultural machinery rental fees. Hwasun County (Governor Koo Bok-gyu) announced on the 3rd that it would extend the 50% discount on agricultural machinery rental fees until the end of December this year.

Hwasun-gun announced that it would extend the period of the agricultural machinery rental reduction policy currently being promoted to ease the management burden on farmers.

Any Hwasun-gun resident or farmer cultivating agricultural land in Hwasun-gun can rent all types of machines at a reduced price. However, transportation costs are not reduced.

The county provided approximately 110 million won in rent reduction benefits to 1,724 farm households throughout 2024.

Ryu Chang-su, director of the Hwasun County Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We will do our best to provide convenience for farmers, including reducing farm management costs and resolving labor shortages.”

Meanwhile, Hwasun-gun announced on the 3rd that it will conduct the 2025 New Year Farmer Practical Education from January 8 to January 16, 2025. The New Year’s Practical Education for Farmers aims to help farmers establish new year’s farming plans, create a sense of unity in agricultural administration and improve farmers’ capabilities by sharing key agricultural policies for 2025 and new technologies for regional main crops.

The contents of this training will guide and promote the four main courses of rice, pepper, soybean, and public interest direct payment system, safe use of agricultural machinery, and agricultural policy.

In particular, in connection with the Hwasun Office of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, we focused on including basic public interest direct payment education in the 2025 New Year’s Farmer Practical Education to increase the convenience of farmers completing training and promoting the public interest function of basic direct payment.

The training will be held as a group training for each of the 13 towns and villages at town/myeon welfare centers, agricultural cooperative conference rooms, agricultural technology centers, etc., and any Hwasun-gun resident can participate without prior application.
