Hwasun-gun is promoting a project to support local food farms and greenhouses in 2025. On the 7th, Hwasun-gun (Governor Koo Bok-gyu) launched the ‘2025 Local Food Farm Green House Support Program’ for the purpose of diversifying production items and activating operations through continuous production throughout the year and establishing a planned production system by supporting small-scale greenhouses to farms participating in local food direct stores within the jurisdiction. It was announced that the project would be promoted.
The county plans to invest 40,425,000 won this year to support 7 greenhouses of 2,310 m2 for local food farms.
Those eligible to apply are members of a local food direct store operating organization (Nonghyup, etc.) and have a track record of shipping to local food direct stores over the past two years (2023-2024), or are registered agricultural businesses that have signed a shipment agreement (including plans) for 2025.
The project provides support for one built-in sea-type greenhouse of 330 m2 per farm, and the project unit price is 25,000 won per m2, with a support ratio of 70% subsidy and 30% self-pay.
Those who wish to apply may submit an application to the industrial team of the administrative welfare center in their jurisdiction by January 21st. If you have any other questions, you can receive detailed information by contacting the Industrial Team of the Town or Township Administrative Welfare Center or the Hwasun-gun Rural Vitality Department and Agricultural Products Marketing Team.
Meanwhile, Hwasun-gun (Governor Koo Bok-gyu) announced on the 7th that the final sales of ‘Hwasun Farm’, an online shopping mall for agricultural specialty products in Hwasun-gun, last year recorded 3.67 billion won.
Hwasun Farm, opened in 2008, promoted ‘Hwasun Farm revitalization’ as a pledge of the 8th popular election, and achieved sales of 1.6 billion won the previous year, and this year achieved the highest ever sales of 3.67 billion won.
In particular, our county’s agricultural specialties such as Korean beef, Kijung rice cake, Hwasun rice, mini paprika, eel, barley oysters, peaches, Shine Muscat, tomatoes, pork, pork potato tea, and traditional herbal medicine were very popular with customers.
Hwasun Farm, which was operated on consignment last year, has been directly managed by Hwasun County since this year, and it has been effective in improving the convenience of consumers who find it difficult to order online by directly communicating with customers and enabling everything from membership registration to product ordering with a single phone call.
In addition, we promoted Hwasun Farm by promoting various events and SNS promotional marketing both online and offline by season, such as holiday events, new spring, festival connections, summer events, and post office brand pavilions.
Furthermore, we met consumers directly at various events in other regions, such as the Hwasun Dolmen Festival, the holiday direct market, the Chungjang Festival in collaboration with Dong-gu Office, the Dong-gu Office direct market, and the Seoul City Hall Plaza direct market, and actively promoted and sold Hwasun Farm’s agricultural special products.
Hyun-jin Hyun, head of the Rural Vitality Department, said, “We are sincerely grateful to the customers who trust and purchase from Hwasun Farm.” He added, “We plan to continue to discover Hwasun’s unique products and hold various events, so we hope you will show a lot of interest and love.”
Hwasun Farm plans to hold a Lunar New Year discount event from January 8 to 24, providing a 20% discount coupon (up to 50,000 won) on all products, and an additional 2,000 won discount coupon for new members.
