Panakkad Hyder Ali Shihab, the late state president and spiritual leader of the Muslim League, will be laid to rest soon. The relatives and the party leadership decided to bury him at one o’clock in the morning due to special circumstances including the crowd. Burial will be in the graveyard after the funeral prayers at Panakkad Juma Masjid.
Syed Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal of Panakkad passed away while undergoing treatment for cancer in Ernakulam. His body was laid to rest in Angamaly. After that it was brought to Malappuram. Their funeral will be held at 9 am tomorrow at Panakkad Church Cemetery. Hyderali is the third son of Syed Ahmed Pookoya of Panakkad. Muhammadali Shihab Thangal and Umar Ali Shihab Thangal are brothers. He is the Vice President of Samastha.
Thangal, who was the Malappuram district president of the Muslim League for 18 years, became the state president of the League after the death of Muhammadali Shihab. He is the Khadi of many Muslim Mahals in Kerala and is also the Chairperson of the Higher Religious Colleges of Darul Huda Islamic University, Kadameri Rahmaniya Arabic College and Nandi Darussalam Arabic College.
