Hydrocarbons: Tullow Oil will inject 840 billion francs in Gabon

DIG/ The oil company Tullow Oil will invest 840 billion CFA francs in Gabon (1.4 billion dollars) in the next 5 years.

The announcement was made by the group’s regional director, Jean Medard Madama, on Tuesday May 2, 2023, during a working session with the Minister of Oil and Gas, Vincent de Paul Massassa.

“Tullow Oil Gabon represents about 8% of Gabonese production, and on the scale of 2023/2024, we have come to present to the Minister the investment project which has been estimated today at 1.4 billion dollars over the next 4 or even 5 years”, the manager said.

Tullow Oil shows production in Gabon of 13,000 barrels/day.

“Today, Tullow Oil is on 7 fields in production and one field in exploration and we are essentially a partner with Maurel & Prom on the Ezanga permit.

We are a partner with Vaalco on the Etane license and with Perenco on several fields”, he pointed out.
