Rain and thunderstorms are expected in some places in the northern and western regions of Azerbaijan from July 6 to 8.
Day.Az was informed of this by the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan.
In some places (Balaken-Sheki, Guba-Gusar, Gazakh-Ganja, Dashkesan-Gedabay, Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur) precipitation will be intense, thunderstorms, hail will occur, wet snow is possible in the highlands.
The water level in rivers is expected to rise. Short-term mudflows and floods will occur on some rivers flowing through the Greater and Lesser Caucasus.
In addition, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued yellow and orange warnings due to windy weather expected from July 6 to 8 in the regions of Azerbaijan.
According to weather forecasters, in accordance with the yellow warning in Sadarak, Sharur, Kengerli, Agstafa, Gazakh, Shamkir, Tovuz, Samukh, Gadabay, Barda, Tartar, Goygol, Aghdam, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Agjabedi, Balakan, Zagatala, Sheki, Gakh, a short-term increase in the easterly wind is expected, the gusts of which will reach 13.9-20.7 m/s.
According to the orange warning, in Nakhchivan, Babek, Julfa, Shahbuz, Ordubad, Naftalan, Goranboy, Ganja, Dashkesan, east wind gusts will reach 20.8-28.4 m/s.
