Hyuna and Yong Junhyung, singers from idol groups, became a couple.
The two tied the knot at a private wedding ceremony at Samcheonggak in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul at 6pm on the 11th. The wedding was attended by relatives and acquaintances of both families without an officiant or congratulatory message.
Yong Jun-hyung, wearing a white tuxedo, entered amid the blessings of the guests, and then Hyuna, wearing a mini wedding dress and red shoes, appeared holding her father’s hand. The two exchanged vows and exchanged rings.
On this day, photos and videos of the couple’s wedding were posted on online communities. Hwimin, the CEO of Hyuna’s agency At Area and a member of the hip-hop group ‘Groovy Room’, released the wedding video on his social networking service (SNS).
Hyuna and Yong Jun-hyung began their public relationship in January of this year by posting photos of themselves holding each other’s hands on social media. At the time, the two tagged each other’s accounts in the post, and Hyuna wrote in the comments, “Please look at it kindly.”
Last August, after six months of going public with their relationship, they announced their marriage. The two had a close relationship at Cube Entertainment as members of the girl group ‘4Minute’ and the group ‘Beast’ in the past. Hyuna, who debuted as a member of Wonder Girls in 2007, transitioned to a solo singer after joining 4Minute. Afterwards, they released hit songs such as ‘Change’, ‘Bubble Pop!’, ‘Red’, and ‘That’s because I’m popular’.
Yong Junhyung debuted as a member of BEAST in 2009 and was loved as a rapper and producer for songs such as ‘Shock’ and ‘Beautiful’. In 2017, he changed agencies with Beast members and re-debuted with ‘Highlight’, but left the team after being involved in the Burning Sun Gate incident in 2019. After serving in the military, he continued to promote albums as a solo artist.
