Hyundai may be preparing yet another profound change for the Creta. The website AutoSpy published photos of a camouflaged model in tests in South Korea, which raises controversy about a new change about to happen.

And it should follow the complete Creta facelift (or ix25 as it is known in some countries) that is already offered in the Middle East, Indonesia and South Africa. Based on the Tucson, it features a more conventional design than the one currently offered in Brazil.

The “new” Brazilian Crete could arrive in early 2024 with this profound restyling. A clear indication of this possible change are the new versions of the Creta with black details that nullify the stylistic details of this new generation present in the N Line and Night Edition models. Another indication of this change is that until now, almost three years after the arrival of the new Creta, the old version (called Action) is still being offered by Hyundai Motor Brasil.

The new model takes inspiration from the Tucson with a new front end. The parameterized elements gain a gray frame that forms a crossed design at the front and keeps the headlights tapered at the ends of the car.

The rear should also change radically. That’s because Hyundai’s camouflage is even heavier and doesn’t allow you to see any details of the new model.

Inside, only a few details should change. The brand can offer a new gear lever and some details on the dashboard and Multimedia. In the current generation, the interior of the car is an almost unanimous point of praise, different from the bodywork.

It’s still early to nail Hyundai’s strategy for possible engine changes. In Indonesia and India, Creta replaced the 1.4 engine with a 1.5 turbo, but none of these options are manufactured here in Brazil. But they could since Creta still maintains the 2.0 Nu aspirated to position Creta as a medium model in the most expensive versions. A good change would be to replace the old 2.0 for good with a more efficient turbocharged option.
