Hyundai has unveiled the streamlined and timeless design of the long-awaited IONIQ 6, the second model in the IONIQ brand of electric vehicles. Describing it as an ‘electrified streamliner’, the manufacturer says it is aerodynamically sculpted and uses sustainable materials in innovative ways to reflect current values of electric vehicle customers.
Inspired by Hyundai’s Prophecy electric concept car, IONIQ 6 is characterized by clean, simple lines and a streamlined shape that Hyundai designers describe as Emotional Efficiency. IONIQ 6’s streamlined and electrified concept, coupled with its smooth wraparound interior, create a unique silhouette for the new era of electric mobility, while the Ethical Uniqueness design language reflects energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
IONIQ 6 reflects ethical and unique design through energy efficiency and the use of sustainable materials. The design of IONIQ 6 has been human-centric from the start, while the interior space has been developed simultaneously with the exterior form. Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) has enabled designers to lengthen the interior, both front and rear, for optimized legroom and spaciousness that allow passengers to sit comfortably. comfortable inside the vehicle. The platform also makes it possible to design a completely flat floor, which provides a feeling of spaciousness.
The user-centric interior architecture is perfectly illustrated by the ergonomically designed control unit positioned centrally to reduce distractions and encourage safe and intuitive driving. Dual-tone ambient lighting provides comprehensive illumination within the IONIQ 6 interior.
