The co-president of Levski volleyball Vladimir Nikolov presented the club’s initiative “SuperOktomvri”, which will kick off the new season for the men’s and women’s teams of the “blues”.
The legend was adamant that this season the club will continue to develop, with huge expectations for the women’s team, which is expected to end the hegemony of “Maritsa” (Plovdiv) in the championship.
“I have the honor to present SuperOctober for our club. We called the month so because we start the season with the men’s participation in the Super Cup, we will have two super derbies with CSKA (one is for the championship), the women’s team will have a super meeting with the champion Maritsa, as well as matches in Europe. The donation campaign to “Become a like-minded person” continues.
It may seem short to some, but for us the road to this point was long and difficult. I am categorically very satisfied with the development of “Levski”. We keep tearing up and building. When we started in 2016 we only had one compromise men’s team and one junior team. We now have strong men’s and women’s teams, as well as four teams each in both disciplines across all ages, or 10 teams in total. We are trying to develop in the best way.
Last year we had two cases where our hall was small. Let’s hope that we will have more occasions this season, and if that happens, we will think about temporary stands on both sides of the pitch, there is a possibility for that,” said Nikolov.
