Mexico’s President-elect, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaumexpressed a message of support on his X account congratulating the Morena senators, magistrates, judges and ministers for the approval of the Judicial Reform this morning.
In X’s post, the future president also expressed how gratifying it is to leave behind the legacy of corruption and privileges that have been dragging on since previous administrations, thus denoting the support she has for her movement. She also highlights the work of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on the initiative to reform the Judicial Branch.
“Demos means people, krátos: power. The power of the people.” He expressed the same in his account, referring to the new reform where judges, ministers and magistrates will be elected by popular vote.

During the early hours of this Wednesday, at the alternate headquarters of the Senate of the Republic, the reform to the judicial power was definitively approved with 86 votes in favor and 42 votes against.
