A 33-year-old woman’s harrowing experience with a breast cancer misdiagnosis is shedding light on the importance of advocating for one’s own health.

Reflecting on her experience, the woman expressed frustration at the dismissal she faced from her initial doctor. “Well, I’m not sure if it’s because I’m a woman but that was the biggest dismissal I have ever experienced,” she said.
