Hyderabad: A father killed his daughter and wife after their daughter returned home after marriage and refused to return to her husband’s house. The incident took place at Jainallipur in Mehboob Nagar district. Dallayya Krishnaiah, a construction worker, beheaded his 23-year-old daughter Saraswati and his wife Kalamma. He then tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. Krishnaiah, who is undergoing treatment at the district hospital, is out of danger, said Circle Inspector DK. Maheshwara Rao said.
Saraswati was married on May 8 to Venkatesh, a farmer from a neighboring village. Saraswati, who arrived at her home a few days later, said she was not ready to go back. Saraswati told her parents that she was forced into marriage and did not like Venkatesh. Venkatesh called Krishnaiah and asked him to search for his wife. The victim told his wife but Kalamma supported her daughter.
On Tuesday, Krishnaiah beheaded Kalamma and Saraswati while they were asleep. Krishnaiah said he was going to commit suicide after calling his cousin Keshavulu and telling him about the murder. The three were unconscious when Keshavulu and other relatives reached home. They were rushed to hospital but their daughter and wife died.
