“We don’t do politics for temporary benefits. If I wanted, I could become a so-called minister. But I’m not doing that. Because, we want the people to truly own the power.’

Constitution maker and president emeritus of public forum. Kamal Hossain said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the discussion meeting on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the public forum at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club on Thursday (August 29).

He said, we promised to do fair politics. I managed to keep that promise. We are not sold to anyone. None of those who are here are sold. We come to power with people’s trust. If we cannot maintain that trust, then we cannot maintain power.

‘If you want to do fair politics, you have to convince the people that you are the guardians of the country, you participate in the elections. The looters have to stand up, they have to be chased away. People should unite against looters’ – added the veteran politician.

Dr. Kamal said, many people raised questions, whether we can maintain our organization or not. We are not elected with money, we are not elected by buying votes. After coming to power by buying votes with money, that money is distributed, but after doing all this, one has to run away. Why can not stay in the country? Because people know they have the power to judge.

An incredible amount of money has been smuggled out of the country. Kamal Hossain said, which is the money created by the people of this country. We are with those deprived people. Politics of the people is politics about the people.

Mentioning that the people of the country have not improved even though money launderers abroad are good, this constitution maker said, we are doing politics for the improvement of those people. Our aim is to keep the wealth of the country in the country and to improve the people. People should guard their respective areas. The politicians of the area have to take account of what they are doing.

Dr. Kamal also said that the student society has proved that they are not sold to anyone. They saved the country with their lives. They are working to change the country. The people of the country are working hard to increase production, but why the crisis? We can save the country from corrupt people only if you are united.

Advocate Subrata Chowdhury, Advocate S. M. Altaf Hossain and Dr. Mizanur Rahman and others.

Advocate Subrata Chowdhury expressed his commitment and commitment to continue political, organizational and social activities by uniting all levels of party leaders, activists and supporters. He also said that the National Council of the People’s Forum will be held at the earliest.
