A simple code used on your smartphone can force your mobile network to improve.
Our smartphones can be more and more advanced, but it is not uncommon for them to have difficulty loading a web page or online content. This can be mainly explained by the environment you are in and which prevents your device from having a sufficient network to access your content.
This problem can also come from the lack of connection between your mobile device and the communication groups around you. If your smartphone does not receive a 4G or 5G network, it will be difficult to have a strong enough signal to display intensive content.
But did you know that it is possible to force your smartphone to have a better mobile network? The trick is not new, but it is little known to the general public because a simple secret code allows you to force your phone to switch to 4G or 5G. To enter, go to the basic “phone” app on your smartphone and enter the following code as if you were entering a number: *#*#4636#*#*. Note that on some devices this code is not valid so try it *#36446337#.
A secret menu will appear and then it will give you several options. Select your SIM card. In our example, we only have one and choose “Phone information”. If you have multiple SIM cards, you should look at the other options available.
Once you click on “Phone information”, you are taken to a rather complicated menu. It must be said that most smartphone users should not have access to this secret menu! To find what you are interested in, find the line “Set the type of network you want”. Then select the “LTE only” option. You will be able to notice that your phone will force itself to switch to the communication network with as much data as possible.
Congratulations, you have forced your smartphone to use 4G or 5G! However, we recommend disabling this option when you don’t need it. To do this, use the secret code again to access the menu and select the desired network “NR/LTE/GSM/WCDMA”.
