Giorgos Kapoutzidis: Absolutely! I’ve always prided myself on being measured when it comes to drinking. I said on the show, “I’ve never been drunk in my life,” but that night was a different story. I went out with friends and, frankly, I don’t remember much after that. Showing up in sunglasses to discuss a script on live television wasn’t my proudest moment!

Giorgos Kapoutzidis: Well, it was a reminder of how unpredictable life can be. My creativity ebbs and flows with my personal experiences. I always say that the script is the hardest part of creating something meaningful. When you can’t find the words, it feels like time is slipping away. But it also pushes me to dive deeper into my thoughts and emotions, as I did when I wrote “Serres”.

Giorgos Kapoutzidis: My dreams and aspirations as a writer evolve based on what I see around me. Writing “Serres” was fulfilling as it reflected a period in my life that many could resonate with. Though, it took a lot of hard work and discipline. Each script is a new challenge, and finding the right narrative voice can be like wrestling with the devil.
