I didn’t mean to degrade Hrithik, got it wrong: Rajamouli
An old video of director Rajamouli comparing Prabhas with Hrithik Roshan went viral on social media recently. Then the fans came out with big criticisms against Rajamouli. But the director did not respond to the controversy then.
He has been busy promoting his film RRR in the US ahead of the announcement of the 2023 Oscar nominations. But now Rajamouli has come forward with a response regarding the controversy that arose in connection with his old video.
In an interview on the red carpet of the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, he admitted that some of the remarks in his old video were incorrect. Rajamouli said that his choice of words was not good. Fans are now congratulating Rajamouli for his reaction.
‘This is an interview given a long time ago. But the words I used to say it were not good. I have to admit that. It was never my intention to degrade Hrithik. I respect Hrithik a lot,’ said Rajamouli.
In the old video, Rajamouli said that Hrithik Roshan is nothing in front of Prabhas. He had wondered why films like Dhoom are made only in Bollywood and we don’t have stars like Hrithik Roshan.
“Two years ago, when Dhoom 2 was released, I wondered why films of this quality are only produced in Bollywood. Don’t we have heroes like Hrithik Roshan? I have seen the poster and trailer of Billa. Hrithik Roshan is nothing before Prabhas,’ said Rajamouli in the old video.
