The Catalan pilot has been one of the protagonists of the last week with Confirmation of your renewal by your current team. The announcement came after he achieved victory in the Sprint race of the British Grand Prix, his first in MotoGP.
In some statements made to DAZN, the man from Cervera has confirmed that he is very happy about this renewal that he has been waiting for since the start of the season, which will allow him to be back on the grid next season: “I’m very happy. Looking ahead to this weekend, Álex Márquez expects to fight for the podium positions on a circuit that is very favorable to Ducati, so he will go all out from the time he takes to the track on Friday: “Now in Austria I start the straight with another gear. The 2023 season has not been as easy as expected for the Gresini Racing driver, who has seen how his own mistakes and the incidents in which he was involved they have made him fall to ninth place overall. Now, he will try to regain confidence with his Ducati Desmosedici GP22 and get back on the podium.
Fabio di Giannantonio’s teammate is convinced that the start of the season has not been positive for him due to the problems he has had to achieve good results, so he hopes to reverse the situation this second half of the season: “The approach is the same and we have reviewed it with the team. My mistakes have been in Mugello and the Sprint de Jerez, the rest has been because we have been involved in many troubles and crashes that have not been our fault, that’s why we are behind. We’ve had bad luck, now it’s time to turn it around”.
The #73 prefers to keep a positive attitude and be fighting for the top positions once again to start 2024 in the best way: “Starting at Silverstone and winning the sprint is good, now it’s time to look aheadand.
