The heroine, played by the winner of two Oscars, Cate Blanchett, is helped by a team of unlikely heroes: a seasoned mercenary played by Kevin Hart, a precocious female destroyer played by Ariana Greenblatt, a mad scientist played by another Oscar-winning star, Jamie Lee Curtis, Krieg, embodied by the German boxer Florian Munteanu, or an unbearably outsmarted robot, voiced by Jack Black.
