Senior Tamil Nadu BJP leader H. Raja announced his withdrawal from electoral politics. However, BJP will still contest the Sivaganga constituency. Raja spoke at an executive meeting held for BJP’s foundation day in Sivagangai. He emphasized the importance of weekly branch meetings, increasing public awareness of government schemes and gave credit to BJP for saving social justice. Additionally, he criticized Mutharasan for seeking help from DMK to contest the elections and questioned his qualification to talk about the Prime Minister. Raja also proposed amending the constitution to hold simultaneous Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections.
Sivaganga: “I am withdrawing from electoral politics. However, BJP will contest in Sivaganga constituency,” said senior Tamil Nadu BJP leader H. Raja.
An executive meeting was held on the occasion of BJP foundation day in Sivagangai. District President Maple Sakthi, City President Udaya, former District President Chokkalingam and others were present. H.Raja spoke in the meeting and said: “Weekly branch meetings should be held and people should know the problem. Central government schemes should be included in every house. Modi is the only political leader in the world to rule the administration for 23 consecutive years. I am withdrawing from electoral politics. But only BJP will contest in Sivagangai Lok Sabha seat. So we have to start the election work now.” He said.
He further told the reporters: “It is the BJP that has made a person belonging to minorities, scheduled castes and tribes as the President. Women, Scheduled Castes and Tribes have more seats in the Modi Cabinet. BJP is saving social justice. But the opposition has made the social justice conference a mockery. People have forgotten them. They have held a conference to remind themselves of their existence. Tamil Nadu financial statement is misleading people. BJP will get a good number of MPs from Tamil Nadu in the Lok Sabha elections.
Mutharasan took help from DMK to contest the elections. He is not qualified to talk about the Prime Minister. BJP is an active party in Tamil Nadu. Our antiquity goes back 15,000 years.
