Talks about ministries are going well, Glavchev reported on Facebook with photos of a waterfall

And the deputy governor of the BNB, Andrey Gyurov, was ready to become acting prime minister, but was not invited by the president, Rumen Radev.

This was revealed by the co-chairman of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov. He did it a day after the president handed over the folder with the order to form an interim government to Dimitar Glavchev. At the “Dondukov” 2 ceremony on Saturday, Rumen Radev announced that the head of the Audit Chamber was the only one who accepted the post. And Glavchev himself added that the decision was not easy, but the alternative was a constitutional crisis.

The candidates for caretaker prime minister were portrayed in such a way that there was no choice, but in reality there was a choice. We know that Andrey Gyurov, if he was elected, would not refuse, and not because he wanted to, but because he would see it as a responsibility to the constitution and to Bulgaria. The thesis that there would have been a constitutional crisis if Glavchev had not accepted is not true, Petkov told BNR on Sunday. He defined Glavchev as a “bright political face of GERB”. This thesis was launched in the media by Academician Nikolay Denkov and by Lena Borislavova, who is a member of the management of PP.

Andrey Gyurov, however, is no less a party figure – he was the head of the “Change” group in the 47th and 48th NAs. And during the local elections last fall, when he was already elected deputy governor of the BNB, he was caught at a pre-election event of the PP candidate for mayor of Blagoevgrad, Metodi Baikushev.

Gyurov himself was interviewed by “Dondukov” 2 on Friday. And on his way out, he explained that he and Radev did not discuss who should be acting prime minister, but the role and tasks of the BNB for membership in the eurozone. And on Sunday, he announced to Nova TV that he did not give his consent for an acting prime minister.

On Saturday, Radev gave Glavchev 7 days to gather ministers, although the constitution does not give a deadline. The reason – to succeed in voting 2 in 1 on June 9. April 9 is the deadline for parliamentary and European elections to coincide.

Glavchev’s deadline is Saturday, when he has to present the candidates for ministers, and Radev will gather the parliamentary forces to discuss them, as it is in the constitution.

I will look for ministers who are experts, equally distant from all political forces. I think that there are such people in the ministries themselves who can shoulder this difficult task, Glavchev raised the curtain. He will not invite Asen Vassilev to the cabinet, as he will avoid prominent political figures. As for Kalin Stoyanov, he explained that he sees him as an expert. Stoyanov himself announced that he would respond if invited. PP-DB called on Glavchev to replace the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, because they do not trust him.

On Friday, the military Todor Tagarev also expressed his willingness to become an interim minister, but on Sunday he refused, because this ministerial office would be “politically decorated”.

And the resigned Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov announced that he will not withdraw the deputy ministers, but will leave it to Glavchev to assess which of them can be useful to him.

Late on Sunday, Glavchev himself posted pictures of a mountain waterfall on Facebook with one sentence: “In between the talks, they are going well.”
