The first two episodes of ‘Speravo de morì prima’, the TV series about the last year and a half of Francesco Totti’s career, will be broadcast today, March 19th. The appointment is for tonight at 9.15 pm on Sky Atlantic and streaming on NOW.

Thanks to extra, the Sky loyalty program, for Sky customers for more than 3 years the first episodes of the series are already available in preview on demand in the extra section.

Directed by Luca Ribuoli, the Sky Original dramedy is taken from ‘Un capitano’ by Francesco Totti and Paolo Condò.

In the role of the former Giallorossi captain there is Pietro Castellitto who in the series retraces the last year and a half of Totti’s career, at the end of his long and exciting journey with the Giallorossi shirt – which has always remained the same for 27 years: from the return by Luciano Spalletti on the Roma bench until the most poignant farewell to the ball in the history of football.

SYNOPSIS FIRST TWO EPISODES

Marco, a young tenant of Rebibbia, refuses to leave the prison despite the end of his sentence: the Captain will visit in ten days. A Captain not so sure of his football future, now that the injury during Roma-Carpi and the replacement of Spalletti in place of Garcia make him understand that he is no longer so “pupone”. Mamma Fiorella is as worried as Ilary, although the latter does not show it.

Totti, left more and more often on the bench by the Coach, feels like a lion in a cage. While his son Cristian urges him to react, mother Fiorella does not hold back from having her say to the pro Spalletti radio listeners. The Captain, not called up for Rome-Palermo, is still dragged by his wife to the stands, where the fans hit him with shouts of joy. For Spalletti, however, they reserve only whistles.

The cast: Pietro Castellitto is Francesco Totti, Greta Scarano is Ilary Blasi, Gian Marco Tognazzi is Luciano Spalletti, Monica Guerritore is Totti’s mother, Fiorella; Giorgio Colangeli is Enzo, Totti’s father; Primo Reggiani is Giancarlo Pantano, a historic friend of the Captain, Alessandro Bardani is Angelo Marrozzini, his cousin. Gabriel Montesi and Marco Rossetti play respectively Antonio Cassano and Daniele De Rossi, Massimo De Santis is Vito Scala, Eugenia Costantini and Federico Tocci play the role of Totti’s parents when they are young.

The series is written by Stefano Bises with Michele Astori and Maurizio Careddu.
