The candidate was appointed this Tuesday, after the murder of Gisela Gaytan on April 1 during a rally at the start of his campaign.
He indicated that he was part of Gisela Gaytán’s team, since he was in charge of preparing the Government plan, In addition, his son-in-law was murdered in the same municipality, leaving his grandchildren orphaned, which is why, he asserted, he has been a direct witness of the violence that plagues that part of the country.
He narrated that when he found out about Gaytán’s murder he felt, first, “pain, then sadness and anger“an inability to not be able to do anything, we never believed that could happen.”
He morenista He pointed out that he experienced the lack of justice up close with the murder of his son-in-law.
He added that for this reason, in 2018 he sought the nomination and with the murder of the candidate morenista He decided to replace her, because “now that, in quotes, I am free, old and with few hours of classes, I decided to fight for Celaya and for peace to return to the municipality.”
Ramírez Sánchez reported that he had proposed starting his campaign in one of the communities most affected by violence, but on the recommendation of his team he is going to wait until he has federal protection.
