But I am happier than during the victory against Lyon because the players fought until the end despite the difficulties of the match. A defeat obviously hurts. We all have to progress, me too. But I liked the state of mind displayed by the players in the difficulty.
Are you worried, four days before the Champions League debut, about conceding three goals?
If we talk about the three goals, there are two deflected by our defenders. This is obviously not an excuse, Nice deserves its victory. But I’m not worried. I saw supporters who endured for 96 minutes. Hats off to them. On Tuesday the opposition will be strong, but we will play better, I am optimistic.
This is the match where you shot the fewest on goal. How do you explain these offensive difficulties?
The first explanation is the defensive level of Nice. The second is that we had offensive positions that were not good, or even bad. It’s my role to sort this out.
Mbappé scored seven of the team’s ten goals. Are you worried about this Kylian addiction?
No no not at all. I have a team in which I really like the attacking line. Mbappé will always score, it’s in his DNA. And the others will score too.
