The XI Global Baku Forum is of the same importance as the Davos Economic Forum and the Munich Security Conference. This forum is one of the components of Azerbaijan’s contribution to resolving international issues.
As Trend reported on Saturday, current issues are discussed within the forum and ways to solve them are being sought. During his speech at the forum, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev touched on a number of important points.
In particular, France’s biased policy towards Azerbaijan and its position against peace in the region should be especially emphasized. France, through Armenia, seeks to secure its interests in the region. France’s goal is not to establish peace and stability in the South Caucasus, not to prevent possible escalations and risks, but to strengthen its interests in the region through Armenia.
France, trying to position itself as a herald of democratic values, does not hesitate to violate all the norms and principles of international law to achieve its goals.
The latest barbaric act was the vandalism of the Khurshidban Natavan monument in France, which was doused with red paint. After this incident, the French authorities, instead of restoring the monument, covered it with a blanket and left it in that condition. After the absence of any measures on the part of the French authorities, the monument was evacuated to the garden in front of the Azerbaijani Cultural Center.
France, which failed to implement its biased policy against Azerbaijan in the international arena and was defeated by our country, only had enough strength for a monument. France has demonstrated to the whole world that it takes revenge even on monuments.
This is also an indication of the extent of Islamophobia in France. This is a reality that is reflected in areas of life in the West. In France, this phenomenon is observed more often than in other Western countries.
French society, as well as the international community, must condemn such behavior.
