“On April 1, I received Mrs. Eliza von Yoden-Forge, the executive director of the Lemkin Genocide Prevention Institute of the USA, in the RA National Assembly.
At the beginning of the meeting, I thanked Mrs. von Yoden-Forge for accepting the invitation and visiting the National Assembly, as well as for the great work done by the Institute and herself.
I presented the Armenian-hating and genocidal policy implemented by the Azerbaijani authorities and its consequences, the goals and plans of the “Gardman-Shirvan-Nakhijevan” Pan-Armenian Union, emphasized the international community’s support for the protection of the rights of hundreds of thousands of Armenians, and also emphasized the imperative of the existence of international genocide investigation mechanisms.
Mrs. Eliza von Yoden-Forgin, for her part, praised Armenia’s proactive approaches and emphasized the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing the genocide prevention agenda, reaffirming the Institute’s commitment and willingness to work closely with Armenia and all stakeholders.
At the end of the meeting, we reached an agreement on cooperation between the Lemkin Genocide Prevention Institute and the “Gardman-Shirvan-Nakhijevan” Pan-Armenian Union.”
