Later he left it there and began to bring the bags. “I brought the saw and the machete,” he stated during the confession. “After dismembering it, I put it in the bags,” he recounted bluntly.

Accompanied by more than ten people, including the translators and the corresponding Thai authorities, the Spaniard was very calm when recounting the facts, although he cannot help but tense up when asked about certain details: “Is it really necessary ?” he asks when they offer him some kind of knife to simulate dismemberment.

Sancho has been behind bars since mid-August in the Samui prison, after he confessed to the Thai authorities that he had murdered Arrieta on Koh Phangha, one of the islands of the Asian country.

This latest testimony from Sancho does not agree with other previously revealed details or with the results of the autopsy of Arrieta’s remains, which determined that the doctor died with his throat cut.
