by time news

Surprise interview with a personality pinned to the ground between two Cannes Film Festival screenings. Today, Félix Moati, actor and director, member of the short film jury in the official selection.

What are you doing here ?

I’m having my make-up applied with very powerful foundation to hide my emerging wrinkles and the traces left by some excessive joy for a program on Culturebox which starts in five minutes. So hurry up!

What do you take ?

I run on Gaviscon.

Burns?

The coffee too strong, too short.

Are you shocked?

It’s okay, I have stamina.

Are not you ashamed ?

In absolute terms, daily but here, my dignity is rather stable. Member of the short film jury, I like it, we see eight films a day.

Up early ?

11 a.m. first projo, it’s okay, it’s human.

Get a little hot, no? What is your gesture for the planet?

I no longer drink water.

A bad trip to Cannes? Turned away from a party one night?

Honestly, who did you take me for?

A film expected more than another?

I really want to see Armageddon Time by James Grey. I saw Tuesday l’Innocent by Louis Garrel, which I found exceptional.

Invited to the grand dinner of the 75th after the screening? Menu?

I was there, I didn’t understand everything I had eaten, the dishes were so sophisticated that the foods were often not really identified but there were prawns…

A soundtrack for jogging on the Croisette?

Right now I’m listening on repeat Supersonic of Oasis.

Do you vote in the legislative elections?

Sure.

What do we wish for?

Compassion and tenderness.
