“Very precise work was done in these warehouses. I went inside for work. Reinsurance and admission control were at a very high level. I can’t explain what could have happened,” the mayor added.

He said the situation in Elin Pelin had returned to normal and praised the firefighters who had kept the damage to a minimum.
“They extinguished the roof of one of the logistics bases 500 meters from a large ammonia content, which could have caused a lot of damage, a big explosion could have happened. Also, the ammonia was running low, it would have been scary.
But now it is calm and there is no danger for the population,” Simeonov added.
