I thank the audience for their support; this is my first performance at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, organized in Baku.
Azerbaijani athlete Kamilla Seidzade, a participant in the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku, told Trend about this on Friday, Day.Az reports.
“Today I performed the program with the hoop well, but I made mistakes in the exercise with the ball. I hope everything will go smoothly tomorrow. Of course, at the competition in Baku I feel a huge responsibility, I don’t want to let my coaches down, I strive to show what I’ve learned during all this time. My task is to complete the program calmly and steadily – just like I do in training,” the gymnast noted.
According to Kamilla Seyidzade, in gymnastics she looks up to the Azerbaijani grace Zohra Agamirov.
“Zokhra Agamirova is an athlete, because of whom I fell in love with rhythmic gymnastics and came to the sport,” she added.
It should be noted that the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 19-21. Over 110 gymnasts from more than 40 countries take part in the competition. Gymnasts perform in a program of individual and group exercises.
Azerbaijan at the World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics is represented by: in the individual program – Zohra Agamirova and Kamilla Seyidzade, as well as a team in group exercises, which included Gullyu Agalarzade, Kamilla Aliyeva, Elizaveta Luzan, Daria Sorokina, Lyaman Alimuradova and Zeinab Gummetova.
