Eddie Dunbar’s incredible year continues on a good path and the Irishman wants to extend that in the Vuelta a España. One of the surprises of the last Giro d’Italia aims to repeat as leader of the ranks and qualify in the top 10.

After a well-deserved rest, Dunbar returned to action in the Tour of Poland and finished 7th, confirming that he is fit for what lies ahead. “I did a good training block after the Giro,” he told Cyclingnews.

“I took a break and then I built my form again,” continued the Jayco man, who apparently has no consequences from his fall in the fifth fraction of the Polish Tour.

“I did three weeks at altitude. It was the first time I did it properly so it will be interesting to see how it all turns out,” she revealed. “I will go to the Vuelta to make the best general possible,” he warned.

“I learned a lot in the Giro and we took notes of things to correct from what we experienced there,” closed the Irishman, who pointed out good manners in Sky but never confirmed them, perhaps due to the lack of space to develop.
